m/s "ZAANDAM III"
Holland America Line

The Zaandam, completed in 1999, is a Volendam sister ship. Established realist artists of today are invited to make outstanding work for this vessel as well.

Hyperrealist, Alex de Vrede, working in his well-known extremely illusionist style, makes two still-lives for the Puzzle Area. For the corridor near the Library, Groningen born Jan Worst paints an elegant library interior, and the English artist Mary Waters, famous for her re-interpretations of old paintings, paints two women in 17th century costume bearing fruit bowls to be placed in the King’s and Queen’s Rooms.

Placed at the pool are two merrily decorated ceramic cows by ceramic artist, Jackie Bouw.
