m/s "RYNDAM"
Holland America Line

In 1993, the Utrecht architectural firm VFD asks Enterprise & Art to assist in selecting art for a new ship of the Holland America Line and to consult for these comprehensive commissions.

Since then, Enterprise & Art has been consulting for placement of art in many new and existing HAL vessels. National and international artists are invited to work under commission to make exclusive art objects for divers locations on board.

The m/s "RYNDAM" is the first ship on which Enterprise & Art places art. Gerti Bierenbroodspot produces four large murals depicting ships and maritime heroes for the on board Dining Room, Matthijs Röling makes two triptychs for the Puzzle Area inspired by Vermeer and the French artist France Wagner creates a series of colorful panels for the Beauty Parlor.

In 2002, Enterprise & Art is again engaged to place art on board the Ryndam. Placement is arranged, in a new restaurant and a lounge, of paintings by the American Thomas Paquette and of decorative Canadian Indian paddles by Trevor Hunt.
