Delft Blue by Hugo Kaagman for P&O North Sea Ferries.
For
the festive launch of the two new P&O cruise-ferries, Pride of Rotterdam
and Pride of Hull, in 2001, artist Hugo Kaagman designs two modern versions
of famous Delft Blue wall bowls. The bowls are presented to all invited
to attend the launch. Kaagman also contributed two paintings placed on
board of both ships while passengers can admire, along the on-ramp to
the car-deck, four more man-high art objects made by his design.
Sphinx
Commissioned by Sphinx Tegels b.v., Djoke de Jong designs at the invitation
of Enterprise & Art for three consecutive years a ceramic object as
year-end relational gift. The first year, a set of two interlocking vases;
the second year, a set of ‘dowls’ (dish-bowl), and the third
year, a ‘filled’ bowl. The objects are of
interest not only on their own, but may be conjoined to form one larger
art object. It concerns an edition of 250.
Rabobank
Breda
Rabobank Breda intends to present, in 2000, Rabobank Academy graduates
with a small token on achieving their diplomas. The bank opts for the
bronze statuette ‘Man Resting’ by sculptress Saskia Pfaeltzer.
It is made especially for Rabobank in an edition of 30.
Randstad
Uitzendbureau B.V.
Randstad organizes every year the Randstad Final Paper Award, a prize
for the best final paper on ‘quality in business services’.
Sculptor Eddy Stikkelorumis selected in 1993 to make the Randstad Final
Paper Trophy to be awarded a number of years in succession in three different
sizes to the winning University, the winning student, and the five nominees.
Fenit
Trophy
For the Federation of Dutch Enterprises in Information Technology (FENIT),
sculptor Eddy Stikkelorum from The Hague designs the National ICT Award,
on equest of Enterprise & Art. The prize is awarded annually to the
ICT Company of the year, the ICT start-up of the year and the ICT personality
of the year.
