Teutonic
Order The archive of the Order of Germanic Knights in Utrecht is among the most ancient in this country. The archive is frequently consulted by historians and others with a special interest. Especially the archive’s quartering lists, showing the genealogy of each Knight, are requested regularly. Given the vulnerability of these documents, Alexander Plas of Enterprise & Art takes the initiative, in 2001, to digitalize this portion of the archive. All of the 316 quartering lists are inventoried in a database, photographed on wide screen slides, and scanned at high resolution for printing purposes. As a result, it is no longer necessary to remove the original quartering lists from their airconditioned surroundings.
