NetherArt
A Dutch Response to the Nineties
West-Indisch Huis, Amsterdam; Grey Art Gallery, New York;
Cultural Center, Chicago; Malnychenko Gallery, Winnipeg, 1993.
In 1993 Enterprise & Art organizes an exhibition traveling across
America of art objects by 10 young Dutch artists whose style is contemporary
and realistic.
The
selection is made in collaboration with Thomas Sokolowski, Director of
the Grey Art Gallery, in New York, who comes to Holland especially for
this purpose. Selected artists are Siert Dallinga, Ab van Hanegem, Edwin
Janssen, Hewald Jongenelis, Hugo Kaagman, Seymour Likely, Rob Scholte,
Jan Starken, Tempi & Wolf, and C.A. Wertheim.
Exhibition sponsors include Aegon, PTT Telecom, and Shell, and the exhibition
receives a Ministry of Culture subsidy. A catalogue accompanies the exhibition.
The
