Portraits of Dutch business leaders
Slot Zeist, 1991

The exhibition in Slot Zeist, initiated and organized by Enterprise & Art in 1991, shows Board Portraits from a variety of corporate collections by renowned painters such as Jan Veth, Jan Sluijters, Carel Willink, Sierk Schröder, and Herman Gordijn.

These include portraits of members of the printing house of Enschedé, the insurance house of Hudig, and the food retailing house of Heijn. The exhibition in Slot Zeist is the first time that 70 of these portraits are assembled to be admired by the general public. The exhibition is opened by Cees van Lede, VNO Chairman. The associated catalogue containing articles on the history of portrait painting, and the history of corporate portrait painting in particular, is compiled by Liesbeth Hemelrijk and trainee Meyltje van Aalst and is still available in our webshop.
